WHO I WORK WITH

Heading 1

Most of the women I work with are accomplished, capable, and deeply tired.

They've been managing everything, and everyone, for a long time.

If you recognize yourself below, you're in the right place.

Does any of this sound like you?

Identity and Transitions

Who am I, beyond all of these roles?

  • Feeling like you've lost yourself inside the roles of mother, executive, caregiver, or partner

  • Career success that feels hollow or misaligned with who you're becoming

  • An inner restlessness you can't quite define, but you also can't ignore.

Insomnia

Wired but tired, struggling to rest

  • Feeling exhausted but then as soon as your head hits the pillow, your mind is racing

  • Self-criticism around your struggle to sleep well

  • Frustration after trying multiple medications and apps to help with sleep.

  • Noticing worsening sleep around perimenopause

Anxiety and Mood Changes

Something's off, even if you can't name it

  • Irritability, disrupted sleep, or emotional reactivity that feels out of character

  • Anxiety and worry that has worsened despite trying to do everything right

  • Persistent low mood you've been white-knuckling for years

  • Medication that has stopped working or never felt quite right.

Guilt and Self-Criticism

Never feeling like you're getting it right

  • Guilt about wanting more when you feel like you already "have so much."

  • Difficulty prioritizing yourself without justifying it to everyone around you.

  • Always the one who holds everything together, and can't figure out how to stop and rest.

  • Fear that slowing down means everything falls apart.

TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

A practice built on deep understanding

Dr. Reid's approach integrates evidence-based therapy protocols with thoughtful medication optimization, informed by the Guilt Equation framework, helping individuals develop lasting insight and authentic self-trust.

Time Limited &
Protocol-Driven

Treatment is focused and purposeful, not open-ended.

Dr. Reid offers defined courses of evidence-based therapy with clear goals, timelines, and measurable outcomes from the start. You will finish with a clear path to your desired future.

The Guilt Equation
Framework

Dr. Reid's original Guilt Free Framework informs the treatment.

Much of women's distress stems from the gap between expectations of self and their perceived reality. Whether addressing burnout, anxiety or challenging relational patterns, this lens illuminates what's really keeping you stuck.

Collaborative &
Coordinated

Dr. Reid works as part of your care team.

Treatment includes medication optimization when needed, with a thoughtful transition back to your primary care provider or referring psychiatrist — complete with a detailed summary of your progress and recommendations.

PRACTICE MODEL

Focused treatment, lasting

results

"The goal of treatment is not perfection. It's developing a deep, lasting trust in yourself."

-Dr. Jennifer Reid

A defined course of care, combining the rare advantage of a psychiatrist who provides both evidence-based psychotherapy and medication management in one relationship.

01

Comprehensive Evaluation*

A 90-minute initial assessment to understand your history, symptoms, strengths, and goals, including the Guilt Equation Inventory (GEI), anxiety, mood and sleep assessments to identify the patterns driving your distress.

Targeted Therapy Protocol

02

IPT

Interpersonal Therapy + the Guilt Free Framework

Addressing the relational roots of depression and anxiety: role transitions, grief, conflict, and the hyper-accountability that guilt demands.

12 Sessions - Telehealth - Self-Pay

A structured course of Interpersonal Therapy + the Guilt Free Framework (12 sessions), delivered in 45-minute sessions. Each protocol is tailored to your specific presentation, informed by modalities including CBT for insomnia if sleep is a concern.

Medication Optimization

03

When appropriate, Dr. Reid reviews and adjusts medications alongside your therapy — whether that's adding or adjusting an antidepressant, or helping you taper off unnecessary medication. No separate prescriber needed.

Warm Handoff Back to Your Provider or Referral to Ongoing Care

04

CBT-I

CBT for Insomnia

Addressing the triggers and perpetuating factors interfering with sleep. CBT-I is recommended as first line treatment for insomnia by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. Benefits occur without the added risk of sleep medications.

Optional add-on sessions or integrated with IPT

Treatment concludes with a wrap-up session and a detailed summary letter to your PCP or referring provider covering what was done, medication changes, outcome data, and ongoing recommendations. You return to your team stronger.

Dr. Reid can also provide appropriate referrals for ongoing mental health treatment.
